SMVDU Registration 2025 Begins; VC Launches New Admission Portal to Streamline Process
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University admission 2025 is underway for several undergraduate, postgraduate, FYUP and PhD courses. Interested and eligible students can apply online at admission.smvdu.ac.in.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has started the admission process for several undergraduate, postgraduate, four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP) and PhD courses for the academic session 2025-26. Students who are willing to get admission in SMVDU are provided here with the details for admission to the courses offered by the university.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Pragati Kumar, launched the new admission portal for the academic session 2025-26 in order to streamline the admission process for all programmes. The admission portal is designed to ease the admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate, FYUP and doctoral programmes offered by the university.
Aspirants will be able to access the portal via the official website, i.e. smvdu.ac.in. The portal will highlight the details information about the courses, eligibility, fees, and admission deadline for the respective courses.
Courses Offered by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University
SMVDU offers numerous UG, PG and PhD courses, including BTech, BArch, BA, MA, MSc, MTech, MBA and other courses. Along with these courses, PhD is offered in several specialisations, including Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Physics, Management, Mathematics and Philosophy.
For admission to SMVDU courses, the university accepts scores of entrance examinations. For reference, BTech admissions are offered based on JEE Main scores, while admission to BArch is offered through JOSAA/ CSAB scores. The university accepts UCEED scores for admission to the BDes programme, while admission to FYUP courses is offered based on CUET UG scores. For master's courses, the scores of CAT, GATE and CUET PG are accepted subject to the requirement of programme. Along with accepting entrance exam scores, the university conducts its own entrance test for courses such as BA Philosophy.

SMVDU admits students based on the rank obtained in JEE/JOSAA/CSAB/UCEED for engineering programs and CUET-UG/CUET-PG for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Sciences, Management and Humanities. Admission in MBA programme will be based on CAT/MAT/CMAT/CUET score along with score obtained in GD/PI . In second phase for vacant seats in MBA programme CUET (PG) will be considered).
