UGC Opens Applications for Online and Distance Learning Programs for 2025-26 Academic Year

UGC notice states that online application window will remain open from Oct 22 to Nov 10, 2025. Last Date for Hard Copy Submission is Nov 20, 2025.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has started inviting applications from universities and colleges for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes for the academic year 2025-26, with the session commencing in February 2026.

The online application window opens today, October 22, 2025, and will remain active until November 10, 2025, with the last date for hard copy submissions set for November 20, 2025. Interested HEIs can apply through the official portal at https://ugc.ac.in.

“UGC invites applications from eligible Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for recognition to offer programmes under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and/or Online mode for the academic year 2025–26, session beginning February 2026. Online Application Window: 22nd Oct – 10th Nov 2025. Last Date for Hard Copy Submission: 20th Nov 2025,” reads UGC Notice.

As per UGC notification, application process requires institutions to meet stringent eligibility criteria, ensuring that only accredited and capable HEIs can offer these programs. Detailed guidelines and submission procedures are available on UGC website.
