VBSPU Opens Postgraduate Admissions for 2025-26, Accepts CUET PG Scores

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU), Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, has officially opened its postgraduate (PG) admission process for the 2025-26 academic session, with applications accepted through the Samarth eGov portal at vbspu.samarth.edu.in.
A significant update for this cycle is the university’s adoption of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2025 scores for select PG programs, aligning with national education standards under the National Education Policy 2020.

The university announced on June 12, 2025, via its official X handle (@vbspu_official), that registration through the Samarth portal is mandatory for all students this academic year, following a meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor to ensure a unified admission process. The tentative last date for applications is June 30, 2025, though candidates should check vbspu.ac.in for confirmation.
Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in a relevant field, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates. The application process is entirely online, requiring candidates to register, fill out personal and academic details, upload documents like marksheets and a passport-size photograph, and pay the application fee (approximately Rs 500 for general/OBC, Rs 250 for SC/ST). For some programs, VBSPU also conducts its own Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT), while others accept national exams like JEE Main or UPCET.
The university’s modern infrastructure, including well-equipped labs and a robust placement cell with recruiters like Paytm and Zomato, enhances its appeal. Candidates are advised to monitor vbspu.ac.in and the Samarth portal for updates on counseling schedules and document verification.
