NEHU Shillong Opens Admissions for 2025-26 PG Programmes; Last Date to Apply is July 6

Courses offered across Arts, Sciences, Technology, Law, Commerce and Creative Fields

North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong has begun the admission process for its postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2025–26. Interested candidates can apply online for a wide range of Master's and Postgraduate Diploma programmes offered at its Shillong campus. The last date for submitting applications is July 6, 2025.

According to the official notice dated June 5, the university is inviting applications for admission into Master of Arts (MA) programmes in subjects such as Anthropology, Economics, Education, English, Folkloristics, Geography, History, Hindi, Journalism & Mass Communication, Khasi, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, and Lifelong Learning and Extension.

In the Master of Science (MSc) category, courses are offered in Anthropology, Botany, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Geology, and Economics.

The MTech programmes include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Nanotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering.

Other professional PG programmes being offered include Master of Education (M.Ed.), Master of Laws (LL.M.), Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.), Master of Commerce (M.Com.), and MBA in Tourism & Travel Management.

NEHU is also offering Postgraduate Diplomas in Painting (under the Department of Cultural & Creative Studies), Music, and Geoinformatics (under the Department of Geography).
