The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam has partnered with NuLearn to launch the virtual executive development programme in strategic human resource management (SHRM). According to the institute, the programme has witnessed the enrolment of more than 70 management and human resource management professionals. Dr Bishakha Majumdar and Dr Balaji Subramanian, faculty at IIM Visakhapatnam will lead the five-month-long programme. IIM-V executive development programme will cover various modules such as strategic HRM, and talent management.

IIM-V introduces smart manufacturing certificate course

IIM-V has also launched a PG certificate programme in digital leadership in smart manufacturing. The programme has been developed to make professionals Industry ready. In order to introduce the programme, IIM-V has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDMK) and Wipro 3D. IIM-V PG certificate programme will be offered in a blended learning model.

IIM-V director Professor M Chandrasekhar informed that the institute has collaborated and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IIITDMK and Wipro 3D (a business division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering) for this collaborative academic endeavour.

The PG Certificate Programme introduced by the Visakhapatnam management institute is of 12-month duration. The course aims at training the professionals on how to take a head start and lead the transformation in the digitally enabled manufacturing setup - quality – both on the managerial and technological fronts. The programme aims at making the participants leverage the immense value of Industry 4.0 to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. According to the institute, the programme is likely to commence in the fourth week of July.
