IIM Visakhapatnam has opened admissions for the fourth batch of its winter intake executive master of business administration (EMBA) programme. The winter intake will offer AI-Enabled learning for its participants.
IIM Visakhapatnam has opened admissions for the winter intake executive MBA programme’s fourth batch. The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) is a new-generation IIM, set up by the Government of India in September 2015. The Institute is nestled in a world-class GRIHA 5-star-rated campus. The EMBA programme is designed for working professionals, combining an advanced level of managerial learning with AI-integrated applications, enabling participants to lead transformation and drive growth. The programme was launched with the title “Leading What’s Next: From Experience to Readiness”, moderated by Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, with Chief Guest Mr Raj Kumar Dubey, former Chairman, Indraprastha Gas Limited, and former Director (HR), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, at the institute campus.
About the EMBA Programme at IIM Visakhapatnam
The EMBA programme consists of 740+ hours of executive learning to build a strong business foundation, including management and strategic decision-making. The programme enables participants to enhance their decision-making, learn digital technology, and other important things to improve business performance. The programme also provides a three-day learning opportunity offering exposure to Nordic workplace values and business contexts. There, participants will do ground research, and Danish managers, along with employees, will transform their observations into insight personas using AI and other digital tools.

Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, spoke about the need for professionals to build capabilities by working with technology, the market, and organisational expectations. He emphasised that advanced technology is reshaping business; therefore, professionals must build greater capability to lead organisations and drive growth through sustained transformation.
Prof. Abhishek Srivastavam, Chairperson, EMBA, IIM Visakhapatnam, said that the EMBA refers to helping experienced professionals examine familiar business challenges through a wider lens. He told the participants that the curriculum at IIM for this course provides wider opportunities and learning modules. Also, participants will get an opportunity to gain Denmark experience to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their judgement, and learn across varied organisational contexts.
To get admitted to this EMBA programme at IIM Visakhapatnam, candidates need to have a composite score derived from the EMAT and a Personal Interview, while candidates with valid CAT, GRE, or GMAT scores may qualify for an EMAT exemption. Previous cohorts have attracted participants from core sectors, IT, manufacturing, banking, real estate, and more. The experience bracket of the individuals enrolling was from 8 to 20 years. This year also, IIM Visakhapatnam is expecting the best participants from various fields who have an urge to learn and enhance their management skills and get a wider learning experience.
