The Jammu and Kashmir administration has taken a major decision against the educational institution that are Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT). According to an official notification released by the department, the J&K administration department has banned the educational institutions run by Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT), an affiliate of the proscribed Jamat-e-Islami organization. While these schools will be sealed, the students will be shifted to government schools. 

Educational institutions run by the Falah-e-Aam Trust to be sealed

According to the notice shared by ANI on its official Twitter handle, the J&K Administration has announced that all educational institutions run by the Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT) will be sealed within 15 days.

It further stated that all students studying in such institutions will enroll in nearby government schools. “No new admission will be taken and registrations will be done, the Jammu and Kashmir government said.

In order to make people well aware of the administration’s department, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has also directed the Chief and Zonal Education Officer concerned to make this announcement public via newspapers and other available media.

Before the Jammu and Kashmir Administration issued the orders on sealing of Falah-e-Aam Trust-run schools came, the administration department found that all these schools were existing on 'illegally-acquired government and community land.'

After conducting an extensive probe into the functioning of these schools, the government found that these institutions were conducting fraudulent and illegal activities and the authorities decided to issue orders on the 'cessation of academic activities' in Falah-e-Aam Trust-run schools.
