J&K to survey out of school children

J&K School Education Department (SED) is planning to start a survey and collect number of out of school children in J&K UT through the "TALAASH" application. The objective is to bring these children back to school.

“The department could not identify the out-of school children in J&K UT and enable them to join mainstream schools. In view of this, the MoE asked the department to start a fresh survey to collect data in this regard,” the official said, as reported by Greater Kashmir.

J&K government has recently notified new fees rules for aided and unaided private schools in the region. It will empower the Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) for the private schools to fix, determine and regulate the fee to be charged by the private schools.
