Karnataka Minister of Higher Education C N Ashwath Narayan has invited the United Kingdom's Edinburgh University to open its campus in Bengaluru. During his visit to the University, the Minister held discussions with the varsity's top officials and placed this offer, the Minister's office said in a statement.

The University officials have responded positively to the proposal and said that the Minister has invited them to attend the silver jubilee celebration of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS-22) scheduled to be held in November.
"The National Education Policy (NEP 2020) which is being implemented in Karnataka paves way for internationalisation of education.
