In a shocking incident, a doctor of Thrissur Medical College Hospital in Kerala has been arrested for carrying illicit drugs such as LSD and MDMA stamps.

As per reports from college, the accused, a house surgeon is a native of Kozhikode district and he was allegedly involved in drug consumption and its sale. He was living in a private hostel near the Thrissur Medical College. On Tuesday morning, police conducted a search in his room and found 2.5 grams of LSD and MDMA stamps and also an empty bottle of hashish oil.

As per the police, the accused's room was a hub for all drug-related dealings. He got hashish oil from Visakhapatnam and MDMA from Bangalore and was selling all these drugs at a higher price. He himself was reportedly using drugs for three years now. His arrest has come just 15 days before he was about to complete his house surgency.

There are reports emerging that suggest that Kerala is fast becoming a hub of the drug business.
