The Bar Council of India (BCI) opened the objection facility on December 3, soon after uploading the provisional key for all four sets—A, B, C and D—on the official AIBE portal. Candidates must submit their objections by 11:59 PM tonight, after which the window will be disabled and no further challenges will be accepted.

To submit an objection candidates need to log in to their AIBE 20 dashboard and select question paper set they received.

Window to challenge AIBE 20 provisional answer key will close at 11:59 PM tonight. Candidates who still want to raise objections have only rest of the day to submit their claims, after which portal will no longer accept any entries.

How candidates can file objections

To submit an objection candidates need to log in to their AIBE 20 dashboard and select question paper set they received. They can then choose disputed question, mention answer they believe is correct and upload supporting material. BCI has made documentary proof mandatory, and only accepted references, bare acts, case laws, or recognised legal textbooks, will be taken into account. Objections without proper evidence are likely to be dismissed during review.

Fee for objections and important points

A fee of INR 500 per objection is applicable this year which is payable online. BCI will refund amount only for objections that are found to be valid. Candidates are also advised to check question numbers, set codes and uploaded documents carefully, as any mismatch may lead to rejection.

What after AIBE Objection deadline

Once window shuts BCI will begin reviewing all objections submitted against provisional answer key. After completing evaluation council will release final answer key, followed by AIBE 20 result. Candidates who pass exam will later receive Certificate of Practice, which is required to start practising in courts across the country.
