The AIBE XVI exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode on October 31, 2021. Candidates who qualify in the exam to be issued the CoP making them eligible to practice in a court of law.
The Bar Council of India (BCI) will declare the results of the AIBE 2021 exam in the 1st week of February; the council hasn’t given any specific date yet. The results of the certification exam would be uploaded online at the official website of BCI - allindiabarexamination.com. To check their results, the candidate will have to log-in to the result portal using their roll number and date of birth.
The results of AIBE 2021 would contain details like the name, roll number and qualifying status of the candidate. Those candidates who qualify in the certification exam will be issued the Certificate of Practice, which is mandatory to practice in a court of law in India.
The CoP is typically issued a few months after the declaration of AIBE results and has to be collected in person from the respective bar councils. The issue of CoPs will be notified by the council on its website.
How to check AIBE XVI result
The candidate has to follow the steps given below to check their results.
- Go to the AIBE website
- If the results are out, the result link would be given in the home page
- Click on the AIBE 2021 result link
- A login window will open
- Enter your roll number and date of birth.
- On successful login, the result would be shown on screen.
AIBE 2021 qualifying marks
Only those candidates who secure the minimum percentage prescribed by the council would be deemed qualified in the exam and as such will be issued the CoP.

Note that the qualifying percentage is fixed; however the qualifying mark isn’t. It is because, if any wrong questions are found in the AIBE 2021 question paper after evaluations, such questions would be dropped and the total marks will come down. Consequently, the qualifying marks will also come down (despite the qualifying percentage remaining constant).
