Dharmashastra NLU VC assured students to resolve their issues

Prof V Nagaraj, Vice Chancellor of Dharmashastra National Law University has got a letter from the students about their concerns and demand.

Dharmashastra National Law University tweeted, "Vice-Chancellor has received the representation letter from students highlighting their concerns & demands. VC has assured the students to discuss their concerns in a couple of days and resolve issues. In the meantime, students are requested to attend classes and academic activities."

Recently, many students of the institute approached the Madhya Pradesh High Court against the university's decision to charge a huge fee for remedial classes. As per reports, many students who were debarred from writing the term-end examination due to a shortage of attendance were given the opportunity to attend remedial classes to be eligible for the writing examination. However, earlier for a re-examination, the institute charged INR 500 from students but now the amount for remedial classes for each subject is INR 7500 which is way too high than the previous charge. The students have also alleged that the university has failed to provide the mandatory number of lectures and the duration of teaching is much less than the recommended duration.
