Choice Filling Begins Aug 5

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has released the MHCET Law 2026 CAP Schedule. As per the schedule released on its official website for both the course 3 and 5 years LLB, the choice-filling process Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round-I starts today, August 5, 2026. This phase applies to qualified candidates listed in final merit for both the LLB 5-Year and LLB 3-Year Integrated courses.

As per the tentative schedules, candidates must submit preferred law college options online between August 5 and August 7, 2026. A registration window has opened for unregistered, CET-qualified candidates seeking entry into Round-III and subsequent Institutional Level rounds; this portal will remain active until August 31, 2026.

While entry deadlines run same, CET cell has distinct post-allotment timelines for the two programs:

• LLB 3-Year Program: The Round-I seat allocation list will be published on August 11, 2026. Candidates must report to their assigned colleges to secure admission between August 12 and August 17, 2026.

• LLB 5-Year Program: Seat allocation results will come out on August 12, 2026. The physical reporting and admission window runs from August 13 to August 18, 2026.

The college admission offices will remain closed on August 15, 2026 for Independence Day. Candidates are advised to track specific course timelines to lock in preferences before August 7 deadline.
