NLSIU summer school certificate course to prepare students for legal education

NLSIU is offering a summer school Foundations for a Legal Education Certificate Course for students who want to pursue law courses. Interested candidates can apply by May 2, 2023. The target group is someone in tenth standard or above at high school, and is curious about studying law.

NLSIU has invited enrolments for Summer School - Foundations for a Legal Education (FLE) online certificate course which aims to prepare the student with essential skills required for an education in law. 

"Moving from high school to law school is challenging for most students – and NLSIU’s Foundations for a Legal Education (FLE) can set you on the path to acquiring the skills and intellectual abilities you need to make this journey easy and effective," reads NLSIU statement. 

The four weeks course will introduce the students to read critically and analyse complex materials; learn to contextualise, connect, and merge quantitative and qualitative information; write persuasively; argue effectively; and think like a lawyer!

The students in the tenth standard or above at high school, and are curious about studying law must enrol for the course by May 2, 2023, to boost their ability to succeed at law school; enhance comprehension, articulation, and reasoning abilities; and Springboard their journey into the world of academia and the profession.

The course provides access to Content, Faculty Interactions & Certification. The total cost of the certification course for AY 2023-24 is INR 7,500. The course will start on May 9, 2023, and will end on June 09, 2023.
