Leh Schools Summer Vacation 2022

Leh Schools Summer Vacation 2022: The Ladakh administration on July 2, 2022 released an official order announcing a 15-day summer vacation in all government and private educational institutes in the Leh district. According to the announcement, the decision on summer vacation in Leh schools has been taken in the wake of a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases in the Union territory. Sixty-six coronavirus cases have been reported in Ladakh during the last six days period.

"In the wake of the recent spike in the Covid cases, especially among children, it will appropriate to pre-pone the summer vacations in all government and private schools in Leh district as a measure to break the chain of infection," District Magistrate, Leh, Shrikant Balasahib Suse said in an order.

Following the order, the summer vacations in Leh schools will now begin from July 4. Further, as per an order issued by the Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (LACAL), the Ladakh children festival, which was scheduled to begin from July 4, has

been postponed and new dates will be communicated later.

Kashmir School Summer Vacations 2022

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir,  School Education Department has announced summer vacations for government educational institutions and private schools up to higher secondary level. According to the official notice released by the department, educational institutions and private schools functioning in the Kashmir Division and the winter zone of the Jammu Division shall observe summer vacation from July 4 to July 14, 2022.

The official notice reads, “It is hereby ordered that all the government educational institutions and recognized private schools up to higher secondary level in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe summer vacation w.e.f July 4 to July 14, 2022.”
