Admissions for PGDM, PGDM (IBM), PGDM (IB) and PGDM (RM) are now open.

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has announced that admissions for academic year 2026–28 are now open. BIMTECH is inviting applications for its four Post Graduate Diploma Programmes (PGDMs): PGDM, PGDM in Insurance Business Management, PGDM in International Business and PGDM in Retail Management.

All programmes are two-year, full-time MBA-equivalent courses, approved by AICTE. The last date to apply is January 31, 2026.

Eligibility of PGDM Courses

Candidates possessing graduation degree with minimum 50% marks along with valid CAT 2025/XAT 2026/ GMAT 2024/ 2025-26/ CMAT 2026 score can apply for these meticulously designed programs. In addition to the above-mentioned examinations, prospective candidates applying for PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and PGDM (Retail Management) may also apply using valid MAT 2025–26 scores.

These two-year full time post-graduate programs emphasize the development of critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Through a combination of rigorous coursework, practical experiences and additional program features, students are equipped to become effective and responsible leaders in the business world.

Q: Β  Do I need to fill XLRI form separately for admission through XAT?
A: 

Candidates planning to take admission to XLRI Jamshedpur need not fill a separate form. The XAT application form includes a field in which the candidates have to select XLRI course in which they want to take admission.

However, candidates can select only XLRI Jamshedpur as a preferred college in the XAT application form. There is no option of selecting other XAT accepting colleges in the application form. For XAMI member institutes or other MBA colleges accepting XAT score for admission, you will be required to register separately on their respective official websites when the applications open. Most of the XAMI institutes start MBA application process after XAT result declaration. However, keep a check on the admission schedule of your target college, so that you don’t miss the application deadline.

Q: Β  How many IIMs can I select in CAT application form?
A: 

Candidates can select up to 21 IIMs in CAT application form for PI shortlist and admission. There is no cap on selecting campuses. Candidates must however, make an informed choice but first checking CAT cut off, course specialisation and fee of all IIMs and basis that select campuses in the CAT application form. It is best to choose a combination of top IIMs and newer IIMs so that you have wider options for admission.

Q: Β  Can I edit my CAT application form after submission?
A: 
Once the CAT application form is submitted, candidates are not allowed to make changes in it. In case, you've made errors, you need to fill a fresh CAT application form and pay the fees again. However, editing of certain fields such as photo, signature and test city preference is allowed during form correction process which starts 2-3 days after the CAT registration process concludes. The form correction window is opened for 3-4 days during which candidates can edit only these three fields. If they have made a mistake in any other field, they cannot edit it. No request for changes is accepted by the examination authorities. Thus, it is very important to fill the CAT application form correctly with valid details. Candidates must keep the important documents such as Aadhaar card, class 10, class 12, graduation certificates, birth Certificate address proof, work experience documents, etc. To cross check the information while filling the form. They must also be very careful in selecting Iims and courses as they will be eligible for only those Iims and courses which they shall have selected in the CAT form.

BIMTECH Seat intake

These programs have an intake as follows: PGDM- 300+ 45, PGDM (IBM)- 60, PGDM (IB)- 60, and PGDM (RM)- 60.

The highest CTC offered to postgraduates in the last academic year for PGDM, PGDM (IB), PGDM (RM), and PGDM (IBM) were INR 22 lakhs, INR 16.42 lakhs, INR 16.42 lakhs and INR 14.50 lakhs respectively. BIMTECH also offers the Late Basant Kumar Birla Admission Merit Scholarship to reward academic excellence. Based on CAT/XAT performance, admitted merit-category students scoring 95 percentile and above receive INR 3 lakhs, those with 90–94.9 percentile get INR 2 lakhs and 85–89.9 percentile are awarded INR 1 lakh.
