A total of 1.92 lakh students appeared for CAT 2021 exam on November 28 in three shifts according to the data released by IIM Ahmedabad.

CAT 2021 exam data number of candidates

IIM Ahmedabad has released the data for CAT 2021 exam day. The exam was conducted at 438 centres in 156 cities across India on November 28 in three shifts and around 1.92 lakh students appeared for it out of 2.30 registered candidates. Out of the 1.92 lakh candidates, 35 per cent of them were females and 65 per cent of them were males, whereas two candidates represented Transgender category.

The CAT 2021 was conducted in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited who has been organising and administering it on behalf of the Indian Institute of Management for many years.

Given the COVID-19 situation prevalent in the country, measures were taken at the exam centres as per  the advisory of the Government of India and State Governments on social distancing and other preventive/protective guidelines.

According to CAT 2021 exam analysis, the question paper was of moderate difficulty level. The VARC section was the most difficult section of the paper. DILR was moderate and QA was easy. However, in the third slot of the exam, QA was tougher than slot 1 and slot 2.

CAT 2021 answer key and question papers are expected to be released anytime soon. The official answer keys will be available for download on the official website iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2021 result is expected to be released in the first week of January 2022.
