CAT 2024 exam day guidelines

CAT 2024 exam is set to be conducted by IIM Calcutta on November 24, 2024. The exam will be held in three shifts. Over 3 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the test at over 400 test centres in 170 cities across India. The designated CAT test centres will be equipped with computer labs for candidates to take the test. The CAT exam 2024 will be conducted in CCTV vigilance and amid strict security to prevent cheating and other malpractices.

CAT 2024 Exam Day: Things to Carry

• Two copies of CAT 2024 admit card with a passport size photo affixed on them.
• One Photo ID proof - Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, E-Aadhaar, Ration card and Identification affidavit
• PwD candidates who need scribe service at the exam centre need to carry scribe certificate
• Candidates with medical condition must carry a medical certificate attested by an MBBS doctor.
• Students suffering from diabetes can carry fruits with prior permission.

CAT 2024: Important Guidelines

• Print all the pages of CAT 2024 admit card on an A4 size paper. They should affix the same photo as uploaded with the CAT 2024 application form.
• Candidates must not carry electronic items, watches, mobile phone, blue tooth speaker, earphones, stationary items like pen, paper, bags, wallets, etc.
• Candidates must not wear googles, caps and clothes having pockets.
• Closed shoes, belts, jewellery and accessories having metal will be prohibited inside the CAT test centre.
• There will be no facility to deposit bags and belongings at the CAT test centre 2024, so candidates should either not carry any or make their own arrangement.
• Digital copy of the CAT admit card or photo ID will not be accepted as valid document.
• Request for change of test centre or exam slot will not be accepted.
• Candidates must cooperate with the CAT 2024 test centre staff during entry and examination. Any sort of misdemeanor can lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Parents and guardians will not be allowed inside the CAT test centre premises.
• Bio breaks are to be avoided, during the exam. In case of medical emergency, the candidate will be allowed to take a bio break but will be frisked again upon re-entry.
