With 10 days to go for CAT 2024, it is time now to put aside everything and focus on revision. By now you shall have completed the CAT syllabus and done enough CAT mock test practice. Now, work on strengthening your preparation further by doing revision in a planned manner. CAT 2024 will be held on November 24, so you have to now take out your short notes and revise from them. Here are a few tips for CAT exam revision.
CAT 2024: What to Study in the Last Week
Revision of Important CAT Topics: Pick up notes of important CAT topics and revise them daily for at least 2 hours. This is not the time to start a new topic, so go back to the topics you have mastered in CAT syllabus and go through their concepts and formulae daily. Practice some sample questions to keep the momentum going.
Practicing Official CAT Mock Test: IIM Calcutta has released the official CAT mock test 2024. You must attempt it once. It is available at the official website iimcat.ac.in. The CAT 2024 mock test by IIMCAT is based on previous years’ questions. It will help you understand the types of questions expected in CAT 2024 and the test form.
CAT 2024 Exam Slot Based Preparation: CAT 2024 admit card has been released and you know your exam slot. Practice a couple of CAT mock test at the same time as your CAT exam slot to have a practice of mental activity at that time. This is important especially for those candidates who have got slot 1 (8:30 am to 10:30 am).
Check Previous Year CAT Question Papers: Check last 4-5 years’ CAT question papers to understand the topic wise weightage for making a focused plan. You will need to ensure that you are well prepared for CAT topics which have more weightage.
Making CAT 2024 Exam Day Strategy: All your preparation is already done. Now in the last few days, analyse your strengths and weaknesses to make an exam day strategy, like how much time to use for what type of question, which questions to solve, which ones to skip, etc. There is negative marking in CAT which can be pull your score drastically down if you do not choose the questions correctly.

Yes, CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in three shifts. The exam was earlier conducted in 2 shifts, but since 2020, the CAT is conducted in three shifts - morning, afternoon and evening. In CAT 2025 too, there will be three slots which will be allotted to applicants in no particular order.
CAT exam slot timings will be -
- First shift: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM,
- Second shift: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and
- Third shift: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
