IIM CAT cut offs 2024
CAT 2024 scorecards will be released most likely today at the iimcat.ac.in website. IIM Calcutta has not shared the CAT result date 2024, but it is expected that the announcement of scorecard download will be made today as the final CAT 2024 answer key has already been released.
CAT 2024 test takers awaiting their result must start shortlisting MBA colleges for admission basis their score. MBA admission in India are based on CAT cut offs. IIMs and other top B-Schools shortlist candidates on the basis of their CAT score, sectional as well as overall. For PI shortlisting, the IIMs fix overall and sectional cut offs for CAT. The CAT sectional cut off is for VARC, DILR and QA.

Candidates have to meet IIM sectional cut off, to be eligible and be shortlisted for PI round. There is only one IIM with no sectional cut off and that is IIM Rohtak. If you have applied to IIM Rohtak, the selection will be made on the basis of overall CAT cut off.
The CAT 2024 cut offs will be released in January 2025 at the time of PI shortlist announcement. IIM sectional cut off is lower for Reserved category students than for General category students. Candidates can check here estimated overall and sectional cut off for CAT.

Sectional cut-off in the CAT exam refers to the section-wise percentiles required by the candidate to make it to the Personal Interview round of the IIMs or other top MBA colleges. The minimum CAT percentile required for admission is different for each category. The institute does not release the CAT cutoff publicly and is instead only available via login.
Hence, according to the estimated CAT cutoff for the General AI category, students would need a percentile of at least 94 to qualify for the 2nd round of admissions, which involves WAT, GD and PI. Students can click here for more information.
