CAT 2026 registration process ended on September 22. CAT being the top most MBA entrance exam and a gateway to the top B-Schools in India, sees 2.9 lakh applications on an average every year. It is accepted by over 1300 MBA entrance exams. Lakhs of MBA aspirants must have applied for the CAT 2026 this year too. XAT 2027 by XLRI Jamshepur
The next top MBA exam is XAT conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for its MBA courses. The XAT exam score is accepted by several other top MBA colleges in India such as XIMB Bhubaneswar, MICA Ahmedabad, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, GIM Goa, TAPMI-Manipal, GLIM, Fore School of Management among others. XAT registration process 2027 is currently underway and candidates can apply until December 6, 2026. XAT 2027 will be conducted on January 3, 2027. MAT 2026 by AIMA
MAT registration for December 2026 has started from yesterday. Candidates who missed the CAT registration deadline can apply for MAT exam as it is accepted by about 700+ MBA colleges in India. Some of the top colleges that accept MAT include BIMTECH, XIME Bangalore, JAGSoM, Fore School of Management, Jaipuria Institute, Amity University, SIES Mumbai, IPE Hyderabad among others. SNAP 2026 by SIU
SNAP exam 2026 is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed to be) Institute for admission to MBA programmes offered by its 17 constituent institutes. The exam is conducted thrice and candidates can attempt it once, twice or thrice. Best score of all attempts is accepted for MBA admission. NMAT 2026 exam is conducted by GMAC. It is modelled on the global MBA entrance exam GMAT. The digital copy of the CAT admit card will not be accepted at the test centres as a valid document, thus you cannot show it, to gain entry. As per the official guidelines, only the colour print out of the admit card on A4 size sheet will be accepted as valid. Candidates must also affix a passport size photo, preferably the same as uploaded in the CAT application form.
The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance. One copy of the CAT admit card of every candidate is also retained by the authorities, thus the need for the print out.
In CAT Quantitative Aptitude, Arithmetic has the highest weightage with 7-8 questions in every shift. In VARC, Reading Comprehension has the maximum weightage with about 16 questions. In DILR, the number of questions are equally distributed.
CAT 2026 application form will be released in the first week of August 2026. CAT 2026 registration dates will be announced in the last week of July through an official notification.
CMAT exam is conducted by the NTA and the score is accepted by all AICTE recognized colleges, including government, government aided and private institutions. Some of the top CMAT colleges include JBIMS Mumbai, SIMSREE Mumbai, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management, GIM Goa, Welingkar’s PUMBA Pune and BIMTECH among others. CMAT 2027 exam will be held on February 7, 2027. NTA is yet to start the CMAT 2027 registration process. It is expected to release application form by the second week of October 2026. Yes CAT syllabus is difficult to crack if you do not have enough time. There are three subjects in CAT- VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude. Most of candidates find RC passages tough to crack. In Quants, Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry pose significant challenge during preparation. In DILR, Reasoning questions often turnout to be tricky and confusion.
CAT is a speed-based test of analytical aptitude, logical reasoning skills, data interpretation and English comprehension. Now, it may sound tough, but these are the skills which we are taught in school so there is nothing new to learn. What is required is to learn these subjects at advanced level. If you are an average student but have studied Science or Commerce in Class-12 and graduation, you will find a lot of familiar topics in Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. All you will need is brush up the basics and practice the concepts on advanced-level problems.
However, since the competition is so high in CAT and less than 95 percentile can break your dream of joining a top college like IIM, the preparation for CAT requires a lot of focus, dedication, discipline and diligence. If you can do that, despite being an average student, you can crack the CAT exam.

- Work experience documents Reserved category students need to upload Category Certificate along with the CAT application form. The Certificate is available on the CAT website. Candidates can download, fill it, get it attested by competent authority and upload it as PDF with the CAT application form.
- The PwD category students also have to fill the PwD form and Scribe affidavit along with the exam application form. This is necessary for getting scribe facility and PwD facility at the test centre. The CAT application form is same for students from all categories. Those belonging to a particular category (SC/ST/PwD) will be required to mention it in the relevant field of the CAT form.
