CAT 2022 notification will be released by July 31 but the exam conducting IIM will be announced much before. Looking at the past years' trend, IIM Lucknow can be given the responsibility to conduct the CAT exam this year.
The Common Admission Test or CAT is conducted by one of the older IIMs. The responsibility of conducting the CAT exam is given to one of the top IIMs on rotation basis. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore conduct the exam. Last year (CAT 2021), it was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad. The institute conducted the CAT after a gap of five years. Prior to that, CAT exam was conducted by IIM Indore in 2022. Going by the trend of past few years, IIM Lucknow can be given the responsibility to conduct CAT 2022.

CAT registration process 2022 will begin in the first week of August and the exam will be conducted most likely on November 27. Like the past two years, CAT 2022 too is expected to be conducted in three sessions of two hours each. No new change is expected in the exam as the CAT pattern was revised last year.
