IIM Ahmedabad will begin its PGP and PGP-FABM final placement process for the academic year 2025-26 from February 3, following a cluster-based recruitment model. The institute has also announced the placement schedule and reporting timeline.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will commence the Final Placement Process 2025–26 for its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) from February 3, 2026, following the completion of its lateral placements earlier this month.
According to the institute, the lateral placement process, which concluded on January 15, 2026, witnessed participation from recruiters across sectors including FinIQ, NTT Data, Navi, ERP.AI, BrowserStack and Eternal, among others.
Cluster-wise placement schedule
IIM Ahmedabad will continue to follow its cluster-cohort-based placement model, under which companies are grouped into cohorts based on industry profiles and invited to campus in clusters. The final placements will be conducted as per the following schedule:
- Cluster 1: February 3, 2026
- Cluster 2: February 6, 2026
- Cluster 3: February 9, 2026
The institute stated that a rolling placement process will be followed after Cluster 3, if required.
PGP-FABM placements to follow the same timeline
The Final Placement Process for the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agri-Business Management (PGP-FABM) will also begin on February 3, 2026, with Cluster 1. Clusters 2 and 3 for PGP-FABM will be conducted on February 6 and February 9, respectively, followed by a rolling process if necessary.
Cluster reports to be released on placement days
IIM Ahmedabad said it will continue its practice of proactively updating the media by issuing official press releases after each placement cluster.
Reports for Clusters 1 and 2 will be released on the institute’s website around 10:00 PM on the respective placement days.
The Cluster 3 report and the consolidated placement report will be released together.
All placement-related updates will be available on the official IIM Ahmedabad website.
Institute urges reliance on official information
The institute has requested media organisations to rely only on official press releases for placement-related information and refrain from sourcing details from unofficial channels, warning that this could lead to misinformation and speculation.
Due to the scale of the process, the Placement Committee said it will not be able to respond to individual media queries during the day. For urgent queries, media may contact the Placement Media Coordinator after 10:00 PM on placement days.
