The Delhi High Court has refrained IIPM from offering any degree programme like BBA, MBA, BCA.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a public notice regarding unrecognized status of Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM). The Delhi High Court has refrained it from offering any degree programme.

Issuing a public notice, the UGC has has informed that the IIPM is not a university recognized by it and is also not entitled to offer degree courses like Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA), Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA).

The UGC notice reads: β€œIt is hereby informed to the students and public at large that Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), 13314, Qutub Enclave, Phase-II, New Delhi - 110016 is not a University within the meaning of Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.”

It further states that IIPM does not have the right of conferring degrees as specified by the University Grants Commission under Section 22(3) of the University Grants Commission Act.

β€œIt is further clarified that IIPM is neither entitled to award any UG or PG degree, including BBA/MBA/BCA nor it is recognized by UGC,” the UGC notice states.

In September 2014, High Court of Delhi has also refrained IIPM from offering any degree programme.
