Is Karnataka PGCET Counselling Schedule Revised?
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date for PGCET option entry to September 18, 10 AM. Earlier, the deadline for Karnataka PGCET option entry was September 17, 9 AM, which was later extended to 3 PM of the same day. KEA had also informed that there will be no extension in the option entry date further. However, the PGCET option entry dashboard indicates an extended last date for choosing course and college preferences.
Karnataka PGCET mock seat allotment will be out only after the option entry process concludes. If the Karnataka PGCET option entry process is actually extended, the mock seat allotment results will not be published today. KEA will need at least 7-8 hours to prepare the PGCET mock seat allotment results. With PGCET option entry deadline being 10 AM tomorrow (September 18), the mock allotment results can be expected in the evening tomorrow.

Karnataka Examinations Authority publishes the PGCET mock allotment status before commencement of the first seat allotment round. Candidates are not allotted seat based on the PGCET mock allotment results. However, the actual seat allotment round leads to allocation of seats in Karnataka PGCET participating colleges. Candidates get the facility to change their options after checking the mock allotment status. Mock allotment round is conducted familiarise candidates with the course and college allotted to them based on the ranks.
For every right answer, candidates will be awarded one mark in Karnataka PGCET exam while for the wrong answers, no marks will be deducted. Total marks of the Karnataka PGCET exam are 100. Candidates get 120 minutes to answer all the multiple-choice questions.
Candidates need to devote a minimum of two hours to practice the Karnataka PGCET exam paper daily without a any miss. This will help them in increasing the accuracy level to answer questions in less time with proficiency. The actual exam duration of the Karnataka PGCET exam is 150 minutes.
