Karnataka PGCET 2025 Option Entry Mistakes/Errors; KEA Expected to Resolve Issues Soon

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) started the PGCET counselling process with the option entry process yesterday, September 24. Candidates had been waiting for an update on Karnataka PGCET counselling since the results were out. Soon after the results were declared, students began reaching out to KEA to request clarification on the process and the schedule.

KEA notified the Karnataka PGCET counselling schedule on September 20. As per the counselling dates, KEA was to start the option entry process 11 AM onwards on September 24. Candidates did not find any link on the KEA PGCET website as per the scheduled time. However, the link was featured on the PGCET website later that evening. Those who logged into the KEA PGCET option entry portal found errors in the same.

During the Karnataka PGCET option entry process, candidates are required to select the qualifying UG course from the drop-down menu, followed by entering the marks obtained, and uploading the provisional degree certificate. The drop-down menu did not include several UG courses, such as BBA, BA, BCom, BCA in the list of qualified courses. Candidates who passed these courses remain clueless about what to select to exercise the priority of options.

Several universities had delayed the UG result declaration, because of which candidates were unable to obtain the provisional degree certificate from their UG college. These candidates reported that obtaining the degree certificate before September 28th would not be possible, leading them to miss the deadline for KEA PGCET option entry.

Resolving errors and issues with the Karnataka PGCET option entry portal has become critical as the aspirants who passed the PGCET exam would be unable to participate in the centralised counselling process. KEA is expected to resolve the issues with Karnataka PGCET 2025 option entry portal soon to avoid chance of rescheduling the counselling process.
