Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2025: KEA Releases Eligibility List; Option Entry Starts Soon

Karnataka PGCET 2025 counselling is expected to start soon, along with the option entry process. KEA administered the Karnataka PGCET document verification for candidates under PwD and Ex-Defence category in August. KEA has now released the Karnataka PGCET counselling eligibility list for candidates under PwD quota and Ex-Defence quota. The PGCET 2025 candidate eligibility list indicates the candidates with their application number and name along with the eligibility status.

As many as 49 candidates appeared for the document verification process for PwD category reservation in the Karnataka PGCET 2025 MBA counselling. Of these candidates 16 have been marked ineligible for the PwD reservation. The remaining candidates will be able to claim the PwD reservation in the Karnataka PGCET counselling process.

A total of 56 candidates who appeared for the Karnataka PGCET MBA/MCA document verification under ex-defence category have been marked eligible for the counselling process.

KEA had only conducted the physical document verification for PwD candidates and ex-defence quota candidates. Test takers under other categories were allowed to download the claim slip after verification of the documents uploaded during the registration process. All candidates with the claim slip are eligible for the Karnataka PGCET 2025 counselling.

Karnataka PGCET Option Entry Dates 2025

KEA is yet to release the Karnataka PGCET option entry dates. With the release of the eligibility list, KEA is expected to notify the dates for the first round of Karnataka PGCET seat allotment anytime soon. Candidates will be able to complete the Karnataka PGCET option entry process by marking in their college and course preferences. Soon after the option entry concludes, KEA will release the mock allotment results along with the mock round cutoff.

Q:   How many rounds are there in Karnataka PGCET counselling?

Karnataka Examinations Authority is responsible for conducting the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) in the state of Karnataka. The participating institutes in PGCET Karnataka offer seats to qualified candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam. KEA allocates these seats in two allotment rounds. However, before the real allotment round starts, KEA releases a mock seat allotment result for all the candidates who completed the option entry process. This mock allotment helps candidates to understand the process and the seat allocation system.

Karnataka PGCET counselling is conducted every year for admission to MBA, MCA, M.Tech and MArch courses.
