Shiv Nadar University has introduced an online MBA degree programme in collaboration with edtech company Great Learning. The two-year MBA program has been designed for working professionals and young entrepreneurs who wish to study while keeping their jobs. The course is also open to fresh graduates with “outstanding credentials”.
The course, approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), offers various specialisations including data science and analytics, digital finance, marketing, and human resources. The programme consists of “industry-relevant modules” and blends the traditional MBA curriculum with new-age technologies to increase the employability of students.
The students will be familiarised with business analytics, web and social media analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence for business among other technologies. The programme will be delivered on Great Learning's online learning platform through live interactive lectures, industry expert sessions, recorded videos, projects, and real-world case studies. In addition, the university intends to include regular in-person interactions with batch mates at Great Learning centres in key metro cities and university campuses once a year.
“The MBA programme is distinguished by the most immersive and contemporary curriculum, with a slant on digital technologies, delivered by a mix of highly experienced Indian and International faculty,” said Bibek Banerjee, dean of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship in a statement.
Earlier, the varsity has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Network “n+i” of Engineering Institutes in France, a not-for-profit association that brings together 50 French engineering institutes of higher education. The five-year agreement cements the joint aim of the two institutions to pursue academic and educational exchange as well as research collaboration in fields such as science, engineering, technology and management.
