TANCET 2024 Choice Filling Ends Today at 5 PM. Tentative Allotment for MBA Admissions to Release Tomorrow
The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, will close TANCET choice filling window today at 5 PM. Candidates who received the TANCET rank were eligible for the choice filling process after payment of the initial deposit. TANCET MBA choice filling process began on August 4. Using the choice filling process, eligible candidates were able to provide their course and college preferences for admissions based on TANCET 2024 scores.
More than 15,000 MBA seats are available to be filled based on TANCET 2024 scores. Seat allotment under TN MBA admissions are based on the candidate’s TANCET rank, category, and college-course preferences. GCT will release the TANCET tentative allotment tomorrow, August 9. Candidates can confirm tentative allotment by August 10. GCT will then release the TANCET provisional seat allotment list on August 11.

Candidates will find the following details mentioned in the TANCET allotment lists:
- Application number
- Name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Community
- TANCET marks
- TANCET ranks
- College code
- Branch code
- Allotted category
TANCET seats that remain vacant after publication of the seat allotment will be filled based on the supplementary counselling. TANCET supplementary counselling will be conducted on August 12 for MCA admissions. For MBA admissions, TANCET supplementary counselling will be held on August 13 and 14.
After the TANCET supplementary counselling will conclude, GCT will conduct a counselling round to offer SCA category seats to SC candidates. With the end of SCA to SC counselling round, GCT will conclude the admissions based on TANCET scores.

TANCET 2024 was held on March 9 in an offline mode. Whereas, TANCET 2023 exam was conducted on March 25 in an offline mode. Initially, Anna University notified the exam date for TANCET 2023 as February 25 and 26. However, later, a change in exam name for engineering courses was seen, which led to postponement of the TANCET exam date. TANCET M.Tech exam is now known as CEETA PG. However, the website for both TANCET and CEETA PG remains the same, TANCET. Annauniv. Edu.

Anna University exam dates change every year. In the past two exam sessions, Anna University has been conducting the TANCET exam in March for MBA and MCA courses. Anna University maintained the exam schedule in line with the previous session. The complete schedule, including answer key release and result dates, was announced in due course.
