NMAT registration 2026 is now active. Candidates aspiring for admission to any of the 60 B-schools accepting NMAT must fill the online application form. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) hosts the NMAT exam form on its official website, mba.com. Candidates filling the NMAT 2026 exam form are also required to apply for their desired B-schools at the institute's website. Last date to complete NMAT 2026 registration is October 10.

All applicants paying the registration fee for NMAT 2026 can use the exam scheduling window to book slots for the exam. Candidates can appear for NMAT exam thrice during the test window. The NMAT registration process is the first step for candidates seeking admission to leading business schools accepting NMAT by GMAC scores. Completing NMAT registration 2026 involves creating an account, filling out the application form with personal and academic details, selecting your score-sending preferences, paying the exam fee, and booking an exam slot at an available test centre.

  1. Enter Personal and Contact Details in NMAT Exam Form:

    Log in to your dashboard to start the NMAT application form. Fill in your title, full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, native language, and parent details. Ensure your name and date of birth exactly match your official photo ID proof. Enter your current and permanent address carefully, as the system displays nearby test centres based on the address you provide.

  2. Upload Photograph and ID Information:

    Upload a recent photograph (taken within the last 6 months) that resembles you and matches your photo ID. Enter your valid photo ID type and details, which you will need to carry on exam day.

  3. Provide Education and Work Experience Details:

    Select your highest education level, graduation status, country, university, degree, stream, passing year, and marks or CGPA. If applicable, enter your work experience details including engagement type, sector, and industry.

  4. Select Business School Preferences:

    In the School Preferences section, choose the institutions where you want GMAC to send your scores. Up to 5 school preferences are included with your registration fee. Adding extra school selections beyond these five requires an additional fee per school.

  5. Review Application and Pay NMAT Registration Fee:

    Answer the background and survey questions, read the declaration, and use the Preview option to verify all entered details. Submit the form and pay the exam registration fee through the available payment options.

  6. Schedule NMAT Exam Slot:

    After successful payment, go to your Candidate Dashboard and click on Book Exam Slot. Select the At Test Centre mode, choose your country, city, and preferred test centre, and pick an available exam date and time slot. You can download your admit card from the dashboard 7 days prior to your exam date.

Important Instructions for NMAT Registration

NMAT application may get rejected if candidates make mistakes while filling the form. Candidates must keep the following points in mind while filling the NMAT 2026 application form:

  • Cross-check all the information filled during NMAT registration before clicking the ‘submit’ button.
  • There is no edit facility for NMAT registration once the form is submitted.
  • Save a filled-in copy of the NMAT application form once the form is submitted. Preserve the copy until the final admission process.
  • The photo uploaded during NMAT registration must be front-facing and not more than 6 months old.
  • Registering for NMAT and selecting institutes only ensures score is sent to those schools. Candidates must complete individual application forms on the respective B-school websites separately.
  • Name and date of birth entered in the application form must be identical to the government-approved photo ID to be presented at the test centre.
  • Ensure current address is accurate, as slot booking displays test centres closest to the address provided in the NMAT exam form.
  • Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times (1 primary attempt + 2 retakes) in a testing cycle. Candidates with a valid scorecard must maintain a minimum gap of 7 days before their next attempt.

GMAC offers three attempts at the NMAT exam. NMAT retake registration is the process to apply for subsequent attempts of the exam. Retake registration button is activated inside the login dashboard after the candidate has appeared for the first attempt. To complete the NMAT retake registration, candidates have to pay the application fee again. The scheduling window will also be facilitated again for candidates filling the NMAT retake registration form.
