The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, has released the TANCET rank list for MBA and MCA courses. All candidates who got their certificates verified will find their names in the TANCET 2024 rank list. Check tie breaking criteria here.

TANCET 2024 Rank List

The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, has released the TANCET 2024 rank list to mark candidates eligible for the TN MBA/MCA admissions. Candidates who got their documents verified after the TANCET counselling registration will find their names mentioned in the TANCET rank list in order of their scores. 

In case candidates find any discrepancies in the TANCET rank list, they can report the same using a dedicated window from July 23 to 26.

TANCET 2024 Rank Allotment Process

GCT Coimbatore will release a course-wise TANCET rank list with verified documents for all candidates. While allotting a rank, DTE considers the percentile score of the candidate, the category of the candidate, and the tie-breaking criteria.

If two or more candidates have an identical percentile score in TANCET, GCT follows a set chronology of criteria for TANCET merit rank allotment.

TANCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

TANCET tie-breaking criteria for allotment of ranks are mentioned below:

• Candidates having a higher average percentage from first semester to N-1 semesters in the qualifying degree exam are prioritised while rank allotment. ‘N’ is the total number of semesters in the bachelor’s degree programme.
• In case the tie still prevails, a candidate who is older as per the date of birth mentioned in the SSLC certificate will be preferred for TANCET rank allotment.

All the candidates with the names in the rank list can pay the initial deposit and complete the choice-filling process from July 31 to August 2 for MCA courses and from August 5 to 8 for MBA courses.
