A memory-based question from Shift 1 asked to determine the number of children A has, given that B is the only daughter of Y (A's wife), and C and D are A's brothers. The correct option was statement I alone.

Candidates were provided with rough sheets by the invigilators inside the exam hall for calculations. However, it was noted in Shift 2 that no extra rough sheets were supplied beyond the initially provided quantity during the TS ICET exam.

A few candidates faced minor computer server issues during the examination. However, these technical glitches were quickly resolved after candidates contacted the invigilators at the center, ensuring no significant loss of exam time for the affected students.

The Communication Ability section was easy and straightforward in Shift 1. It included simple reading comprehension passages and direct vocabulary questions. Candidates reported that computer terminology questions were very basic, making this section quick to complete and highly scoring.

The Analytical Ability section in Shift 1 was rated easy to moderate. Questions covered blood relations, number series, alphabet series, and reasoning. While most questions were direct, the data sufficiency and arrangement questions were slightly lengthy and time-consuming.

Candidates reported the Communication Ability section as the easiest part of the exam. Many test-takers were able to answer over 30 questions accurately and quickly.

Candidates found the Mathematical Ability section in Shift 1 to be the toughest. Arithmetic questions were manageable, but algebra and mensuration problems were calculation-intensive. Several questions were based on Class 12 concepts, demanding strong conceptual clarity and time management.

According to early candidate reactions, the overall difficulty level of the TS ICET 2026 Shift 1 paper was moderate. The Mathematical Ability section was the toughest, while Communication Ability was rated as the easiest and most scoring section.
