Every year, with the release of TG ICET notification, TGCHE notifies the qualifying cutoff, also known as qualifying score. Candidates appearing for the TG ICET exam must meet the qualifying cutoff to participate in the counselling process. The qualifying cutoff has not changed from the previous session. Candidates have to score a minimum of 25 per cent marks if they belong to unreserved categories. Those who belong to reserved categories are eligible for the counselling, irrespective of their scores. Out of 200 marks, your category candidates have to secure 50 marks to be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

TS ICET Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two or more candidates obtain the same TS ICET score, TGCHE will decide ranks using the following method:

  1. Candidates with higher marks in Section A of TS ICET 2026 will receive preference during rank allotment.
  2. If the Section A marks are equal, candidates with higher marks in Section B will be given preference.
  3. If the tie still continues, the older candidate based on the SSC certificate date of birth will be given preference in TS ICET 2026 rank allotment.

NOTE: Reserved category candidates obtaining 0 marks are allotted ranks according to their age.
