XAT exam 2023 is all set to be held today at various exam centres in about 79 cities across India. Candidates who had applied for the exam may have already downloaded their XAT 2023 admit card and taken the official mock test to know the latest test pattern.

This year, the exam duration has been increased from 3 hours 10 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes. The first part of the XAT 2023 question paper will be of 175 minutes instead of 165 minutes. The second part of the paper will be a 5-minute duration Mock Keyboard Testing. The third part of the paper will comprise GK and Essay Writing which will be of 30 minutes instead of 25 minutes.

Candidates are advised to follow the timings mentioned on their XAT admit card 2023 to avoid getting late for the exam.

XAT 2023 Exam: Dress Code

  • Candidates must not wear jackets or hoodies with pockets.
  • Sweaters and pullovers are allowed.
  • Candidates must not wear clothes or accessories containing metal.
  • Candidates must refrain from wearing jewellery for the exam.
  • Candidates must not wear closed shoes. They will have to take it off outside the test lab. Open footwear is allowed.
  • Candidates must not wear caps, veils and headgears. In case a religious attire, accessory is mandatory for any candidate, they must visit the centre early and get clearance.

XAT 2023 Exam: Do's and Don’t

Given below are the key dos and don’ts to follow tomorrow at the XAT 2023 exam centre.


XAT Do’ts

  • Carry two colour copies in A4 size of XAT 2023 admit card with passport size photo affixed on them.
  • Carry a blue/black ball point pen
  • Carry hand sanitizer, face mask and drinking water
  • Make sure you’ve self-attested the COVID-19 declaration form before reaching the exam centre
  • Make sure you follow the dress code
  • Reach the test centre as mentioned on your admit card
  • Don’t carry electronic items to exam centre
  • Don’t carry stationary items like note books, paper etc.
  • Don’t reach the exam centre after 1:50 PM
  • Don’t carry bags and valuables to the exam centre.
  • Don’t take off your mask at any point of time after entering the examination centre.
  • Don’t argue with test centre staff or create ruckus
