58% Candidates Plan to Participate in the NEET MDS 2025 Counselling for All India Quota Seats: Shiksha Poll

The NEET MDS 2025 counselling process commenced on June 24, 2025. The dates were announced on June 20, 2025. To understand the plans of the candidates, Shiksha.com ran a poll on the question, ‘Will you participate in the NEET MDS 2025 counselling?’ Majority of the participants, accounting for 58 per cent, have voted for the option of ‘Yes, All India Quota’.
The second highest number of votes have been given to the option ‘Will participate in NEET MDS State Counselling’. The lowest number of respondents has chosen the option ‘Will take admission through INI CET Counselling’. Let us take a detailed look at the Shiksha Poll and the responses received.
Shiksha Poll: Will You Participate in the NEET MDS 2025 Counselling?
The options for the poll are given below:
- Yes, for the All India Quota
- Will participate in NEET MDS State Counselling
- Will take admission through INI CET Counselling
- Not taking admission this year
The snapshot given below provides the percentage of votes received for each of the options.
As can be seen above, the majority of NEET MDS 2025 candidates have opted for participation in the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. There is a 50:50 ratio of All India Quota and State Quota seats. As many as 37 per cent of the respondents have opted for the option ‘Will participate in NEET MDS State Counselling’.
The bottom two responses have been received by the options ‘Not taking admission this year’ and ‘Will take admission through INI CET Counselling’, accounting for three per cent and two per cent of votes respectively.
It must be noted that NEET MDS 2025 counselling for All India Quota and State Quota, as well as INI CET counselling for the MDS course, are underway.
NEET MDS 2025 Qualification Status
As per the NEET MDS 2025 All India Quota (50 per cent) Merit List, 16,225 candidates have qualified for the exam. The total number of registered candidates was 30,435, out of which 29,220 candidates appeared.
In an earlier Shiksha Poll, which asked, ‘Have you qualified for NEET MDS 2025 exam?’ majority of respondents, accounting for 30 per cent, have responded that they have qualified, but expected a better score. On the other hand, 25 per cent of respondents voted for the option, ‘Yes, with a high score.’
The second highest vote (27 per cent) was received for the option ‘Yes, just fulfilled the cutoff’. On the other hand, 15 per cent of the respondents stated that they have not qualified, and three per cent have mentioned that they will reappear for the NEET MDS exam next year. NEET MDS 2025 exam was conducted on April 19, 2025, and the result was declared on May 15, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 AIQ counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is scheduled till August 30, 2025. The number of rounds and dates may get extended in case of vacant seats.
