AIIMS Guwahati celebrates 3rd Institute Day 2023

AIIMS Guwahati Institute Day's Oration was delivered by Prof. Gitanjali Batmanabane, former director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar and former director in charge of AIIMS Guwahati.

All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) Guwahati celebrated its third Institute Day 2023 on January 12, 2023. The event was accompanied by various cultural performances by the faculty, students, admin staff, and nursing officers of the institute.

Dr. Subhash Khanna, the Chief Medical Director of Swagat Hospitals and a renowned Laparoscopic Robotic Surgeon from Eastern India, delivered the keynote address at the event, as reported by Neindiabroadcast.com.

During the event, he spoke on his journey as a small-town surgeon and the developing healthcare sector of the state. 

He praised the Govt of Assam and the Prime Minister and the then Health Minister, Dr. Harshvardhan, for taking a personal interest and starting the institute on this day. He sees the establishment of AIIMS in Assam as a huge step towards strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of the state.

AIIMS Guwahati is also currently hiring for various posts and on November 15, 2022, the institute posted an advertisement in the Employment News. Now, AIIMS has extended the last date for receiving the applications to February 2, 2023.

The official notice reads, "With reference to the Advertisement No. 2-45/2021-22/AIIMS/GHY/ESTT./RECT.GRP-A&B/919 dated 15.11.2022, the last date for receipt of applications for the posts, which was published in the Employment News dated 03-09 December 2022, stands extended up to February 2, 2023."

All other terms and conditions of the advertisement remain unchanged added AIIMS Guwahati.
