AIIMS Raipur announces new openings; Apply by Jan 27

AIIMS Raipur invited online applications from Indian nationals/persons registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 for the post of Assistant Professor (Faculty – Group A) t on a Contract basis for a period of 11 months or till such time that alternate arrangements are made, whichever is earlier.

The online application opening date is January 10 and the last date to apply is January 27, 2023. "The reservation to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD shall be as per the Govt. of India rules on production of valid caste/category certificate in the prescribed format. As per the Govt. of India rules, EWS posts will not be carried forward to next year as backlog vacancy in case unfilled. Hence, other category candidates (i.e. UR/OBC/SC/ST) are allowed provisionally to apply for such posts subject to condition that they will be considered for such post as a UR Candidate," reads the official notification.

There are a total of 39 vacancies for UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories.

Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS Raipur's post of Assistant Professor

The following are the requirements for medical candidates (for General Disciplines):

1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act).

2. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/ subject.

The experience required is a three years teaching and/or research experience in experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 

Essential requirements for Super-specialty disciplines:

1) Same as Assistant Professor for Medical candidates (for General Discipline).

2) D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for Medical Super-specialties and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for Surgical super specialties (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Experience needed is one-year of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M./M.Ch or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
