AIMSA urges RGUHS VC to declare final year MBBS student's results soon, check details
Students have been waiting eagerly for their results even after the High Court directed the university to implement a new evaluation scheme and declare RGUHS results.
The All India Medical Students' Association has urged the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Vice Chancellor, to look into the matter of delay in the announcement of final-year medical students' results. It must be noted that students have been waiting eagerly for their results even after the High Court directed the university to implement a new evaluation scheme and declare RGUHS results.
The RGUHS MBBS students earlier this year filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court for a new evaluation scheme. The court gave the judgment in favor of the students. The students had filed a case regarding revaluation and for considering the average of the best two. The case, however, got pushed for five months.
Even as they got the approval from court, “…university went on a review petition considering the issue and again the court had dismissed the case saying it was clear and average of best two must be considered. This whole court process has been going on for 2 months,” AIMSA said in a tweet.
With final-year students still waiting for the result, the student's group requested the vice-chancellor to take immediate steps. “Just 35 days left for exams and results aren't announced yet,” AIMSA said.
In April 2022, the University came up with the new ordinance for evaluation. After a delay, in November the high court ordered the university to implement the new scheme and granted two weeks time to conduct the re-evaluation and declare the revised results. However, the medical college has not announced the results yet.
