All India Institute of Public And Physical Health Sciences is fake university, confirms UGC

UGC notified that the All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences (AIIPHS) State Government University is a fake university.

Rajnish Jain, Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC) has said, "It has come to the notice of the UGC that "All India Institute of Public & Physical Health Sciences (AIIPHS) State Government University" is offering various degree courses in gross violation of the UGC Act, 1956."

"A degree can be awarded only by a university established/incorporated by/under a Central Act, a Provincial Act or a State Act or an institution deemed to be an univ under UGC Act or an institution specially empowered by an Act of Parliament to confer or grant degrees," he added.

AIIPHS State Government University not recognized by UGC

It may be noted that above mentioned "AIIPHS State Government University" is neither recognized by UGC in terms of its establishment under Section 2(f) and Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, nor it is empowered to award any degree," said Rajnish Jain.

"Therefore, the general public, students, parents and other stakeholders are cautioned through this public notice not to take admitted to the above mentioned self-styled institution," he added.

AIIPPHS' website says, "Our Registration No. 1401 Registered under public trust act 1882 NCT of Delhi (Govt of India). AIIPPHS is A National Importance, Self-Government Autonomous Institute, Govt. of India, Established in 2012. It has been working in the field of training and research in Urban and Rural Development Management field through it’s well established."
