CENTAC NEET UG Counselling 2024 PWD Candidates Physical Examination Begins

The CENTAC NEET UG 2024 counselling for medical admission to Puducherry is underway. The physical examination process for the Persons with Disability (PWD) category candidates has started today, August 6, 2024. The process will be conducted for three days, till August 8, 2024, from 9 AM to 12.30 PM.

Announcing this, CENTAC Puducherry has stated, “Candidates who have applied for PwD Quota for admission to UG NEET courses through CENTAC for the academic year 2024-25, are to appear before the Resident Medical Officer, for Preliminary Medical Check Up so as to present the case for opinion of the Medical Board to ascertain their disability percentage and eligibility for UG NEET admission. The Physical Examination will be held in all the four regions in the respective District Hospitals.”

CENTAC NEET UG Counselling 2024 PWD Category Physical Examination Venues

Candidates will have to visit any of the following four hospitals for the physical examination process:

  • Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital & Post Graduate Institute (IGGGH & PGI) – Puducherry
  • General Hospital (GH) – Karaikal
  • DD/GH – Mahe
  • DD/GH – Yanam

Documents Required for PWD Category Physical Examination

The following documents have to be carried to the venue for the physical examination process:

  1. Three Passport size photographs
  2. Photocopy of Aadhaar card
  3. Photocopy of the CENTAC NEET UG 2024 Application Form
  4. Previous PwD Certificate, if any.

The CENTAC NEET UG counselling 2024 application process started on July 28, 2024, and the last date to submit the form is August 8, 2024, 5 PM.

Some of the top colleges for CENTAC NEET UG counselling include Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College, Puducherry, Rajiv Gandhi Ayurvedic Medical College, Mahe and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (RIVER), among others.

Q:   When will CENTAC release the CENTAC NEET UG counselling seat matrix?
A:

CENTAC Puducherry will release the seat matrix for CENTAC NEET UG 2025 counselling before each round. Moreover, the course-wise counselling is conducted separately, and hence, the seat matrix for different course groups will be out at different durations of the CENTAC NEET UG counselling 2025. It is estimated that the seat matrix for the first round of counselling will be released in the first week of August 2025.

Q:   When will CENTAC conduct the NEET counselling process 2025?
A:

The CENTAC NEET counselling 2025 process has started on July 5, 2025, with the registration process. The last date of registration was extended from July 14, 2025, to July 16, 2025, after which CENTAC released a draft merit list consisting the names of the eligible candidates on July 25, 2025. Candidates can submit objections or upload certificates by July 29, 2025, 5 PM. After that, candidates have to enter choices, based on which seats will be allotted to them. The entire CENTAC MBBS admission process is likely to range for three to four months.
