FORDA calls Doctors to protest against appointment of Non-Medicos as medical faculty
FORDA has requested the National Medical Commission not to allow MSc students join pre & paraclinical medical colleges as “Faculty”. It further stated that there is already a lot of competition, less number of seats, contractual posts and now 30% seats for outsiders, therefore. such provisions will create unavailability of posts for doctors.
Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) India has requested all MD/MS PRE AND PARA CLINICAL FACULTY MEMBERS and RESIDENTS (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology) to gather for a Peaceful Protest against the appointment of Non-Medicos (Without MBBS/MD/MS Degree) and without an entrance examination in medical colleges). According to the official tweet posted by FORDA India, the protest will take place on July 20, 2023, Thursday, at Jantar Mantar, National Medical Commission, Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare. The protest is being Organized by The largest national organization of medical teachers with MBBS MD/MS degree in pre and para clinical specialties, ALL INDIA PRE AND PARA CLINICAL MEDICOS ASSOCIATION.
The association has requested the National Medical Commission not to allow MSc students join pre & paraclinical medical colleges as “Faculty”. Asking the commission, “where will the doctors go?” It further stated that there is already a lot of competition, less number of seats, contractual posts and now 30% seats for outsiders, therefore. such provisions will create an unavailability of posts for the doctors.

Stiff competition, less seats, contractual posts and now 30% seats for outsiders. @NMC_IND DONT WIPE OUT THEIR FUTURE! Requesting @MoHFW_INDIA to NOT ALLOW this travesty to happen!”
