J&K NEET 2022 Counselling: Board cancels provisional admission of a candidate under EWS

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has cancelled the provisional admission of Ms. Qurat-ul-ain, D/o Ghulam Qadir Dar R/o Parnewa, Budgam for undergoing MBBS Course-2021 under EWS Category in the SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar for producing fake EWS certificate.

Ms. Qurat-ul-ain registered herself with the Board and also uploaded a copy of the required documents including the EWS certificate bearing No. TKH/2021/117 dated April 16, 2021, issued by the Tehsildar, Budgam in support of her candidature.

She was provisionally selected at S.No. 959, UT Rank 1516 for admission to MBBS-2021 under the Economically Weaker Sections category (EWS) in the SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar. 

Then, she was instructed to report to the SKIMS Medical College, Srinagar for fulfilling the admission-related formalities, with the direction to the concerned College to ascertain the veracity of the documents/establishing her qualification on the basis of which seat was allotted to her under the EWS Category.

She was allotted the MBBS seat. She also gave an undertaking dated February 28, 2022, in the form of an affidavit, duly attested by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Budgam to the effect that the certificates and documents furnished by her are genuine and correct and in case, any of them is found fake on verification, she shall be personally responsible for any consequence thereof, including cancellation of her provisional admission to the MBBS Course and punitive action under rules, the certificate was later forwarded to the Tehsildar, Khansahib by the SKIMS Medical College, Bemina for verification, vide letter No. SKIMS/MC/Acad/2022/2002 dated 26.05.2022. The Tehsildar, Khansahib vide letter No. MM/MC/46 dated 20.06.2022 informed the Registrar Academic, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina Srinagar that, as per the available record, no such certificate stands issued vide No. TKH/2021/117 dated April 16, 2021 in favour of Qurat-ul-ain.
