Kerala NEET 2024 counselling option registration or choice filling process has started on August 21. The last date to submit MBBS and BDS seat options is August 26, 2024, 11.59 PM. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has released the complete schedule for the first round of Kerala NEET counselling 2024.

How to Register Options for Kerala NEET 2024 Counselling

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to register options or submit seat choices for Kerala NEET 2024 counselling.

  • Visit the official website of Kerala NEET 2024 counselling – cee.kerala.gov.in
  • Click on the KEAM 2024 Candidate Portal
  • Enter Application Number, Password and Access Code
  • Click on the Option Registration tab
  • Enter as many MBBS and BDS seat options as desired
  • Pay the option registration fee of INR 5,000 in online mode

Regarding the option registration fee, CEE has stated, β€œThe registration fee will be adjusted in the tuition fee of those candidates who take admission consequent to allotment.”

CEE has further stated, β€œCandidates are advised to file options to the courses/colleges to which they are sure to join and continue studies if allotted, at the time of registration of options. There is no provision for fresh option Registration for MBBS/BDS courses in the next phase of centralised allotment process, unless new colleges are included.  Thus candidates are advised to register all available options for MBBS/BDS courses in this phase itself to which they wish to get admission.”

CEE released the final merit list and category list based on the registrations received and NEET 2024 scores submitted for Kerala NEET counselling 2024.

Q: Β  What is the fee for the MBBS courses at the medical colleges in Kerala through Kerala NEET counselling?
A:

The average annual fee for MBBS course in a government medical college of Kerala is around INR 25,000. On the other hand, the average annual fee for MBBS course in a private medical college of Kerala is around INR 6,00,000. The fee aount mentioned here is based on last year's fee amount. The amount may get changed this year. 

Q: Β  When was the Kerala NEET UG counselling 2025 registration conducted?
A:

The Kerala NEET UG counselling 2025 registration window was reopened from June 18 to June 23, 2025. Already registered candidates could add courses or category/quota, such as NRI or minority/EWS quota, within this window by logging in with their registration credentials. Originally, the Kerala NEET 2025 counselling registration process started on February 20, 2025. The last date of application was extended from March 10 to March 12, 2025, and the documents had to be uploaded by March 15, 2025. 

Q: Β  Is it mandatory to pass NEET to apply for Kerala NEET counselling?
A:

Yes, only those candidates who will qualify for NEET will be eligible to apply for Kerala NEET counselling process. NTA and MCC will send the list of qualifying candidates to each state counselling authorities. The Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE) Kerala, the counselling authority of the state will release the merit list, which will carry the names of candidates who have qualified for NEET and eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process.
