Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025: CET Cell Clarifies APAAR ID Not Mandatory for Registration
Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2025 without APAAR ID has been permitted by state Cell. However, students with APAAR ID are advised to fill ID details in Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 registration form.
MBBS BDS Admission 2025 in Maharashtra: State Common Entrance Cell Maharashtra has announced that Maharashtra NEET counselling Registration 2025 without APAAR ID is permissible for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS courses in Maharashtra state. Further, state CET Cell has also notified economically weaker section candidates to upload their certificates in state format only.
Maharashtra State CET Cell has clarified that providing an APAAR ID during Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 registration is optional, not mandatory. This clarification comes after CET Cell received multiple queries regarding requirement of APAAR ID in counselling application process for MBBS, BDS admission in state. However, candidates who already have an APAAR ID are encouraged to provide it while filling out NEET 2025 counselling form Maharashtra.

Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling began on July 23, 2025, with registration process. Round 4, or the Online Stray Vacancy Round was held from November 12 to November 17, 2025. Round 2 and Round 3 were conducted between August and October 2025.
Registration for Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 for Round 3 was conducted from October 6 to October 8, 2025. Round 1 began on July 23, 2025. The last date for registration was extended from July 30, 2025, to August 4, 2025, 11.59 PM. The registration fee had to be paid by August 5, 2025, 11.59 PM, and the documents had to be uploaded by the same date. The registration process for Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 is completely online. Candidates must ensure that they fill up the application form with mandatory details and upload the requisite documents, and pay the application fee to complete the registration process successfully. For the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling, the registration process is conducted only for the first and third rounds. For the second and fourth or subsequent rounds, registered candidates have to submit choices.
A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 50,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Maharashtra NEET.
As per official notification issued by State CET Cell, candidates seeking reservation under EWS category must present a valid EWS certificate at time of admission. However, students from other reserved categories are not eligible for EWS quota benefits, even if they submit certificate. Such candidates will automatically be moved to open category during preparation of provisional Maharashtra NEET merit list 2025. students must carefully check eligibility criteria in order to secure a seat in UG medical/ dental programme in Maharashtra state.
