Ministry of Ayush to launch SPARK - national level fellowship for Ayurveda undergraduates

Ministry of Ayush is all set to launch SPARK - national level fellowship for Ayurveda undergraduates, an MoU to be exchanged between the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) and the National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine (NCISM).

Ministry of Ayush will introduce SPARK, the first of its kind national level fellowship for Ayurveda undergraduates at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bhubaneshwar.

The Ministry of Ayush tweet reads, "SPARK, the first of its kind national level fellowship for Ayurveda undergraduates, will be launched at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bhubaneshwar by Shri Pramod Kumar Pathak, Special Secretary, MoA & Dr Jayant Deopujari, Chairperson, NCISM, New Delhi."

"A Memorandum of Understanding will also be exchanged between Prof. Dr Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS & Dr Jayant Deopujari, Chairperson, NCISM," said the ministry.

Admissions open at CCRAS for one year Panchkarma Technician course

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences has invited applications for one year, full time and self-financed Panchkarma Technician course. The last date to apply is September 15. The application fee is INR 500 and the course fee is INR 30,000 in three instalments. 

The eligibility requirement is the candidate must have passed class 12 and should have completed a minimum of 18 years on the date of final assessment at the end of training which will be conducted between October 2022 - September 2023.

As per the rules of the Government of India, the reservation policy is 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST & 27% for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). A horizontal reservation of 4% for PH (only lower locomotive disorders) and 10% for the EWS category will be applicable.

The official notification reads, “Duly filled in application form along with all requisite documents and demand draft of Application Fee is to be sent to anyone Institute of the choice by registered or speed post.
