NBE postpones DNB-PDCET 2021 exam
DNB PDCET 2021 exam has been postponed amid a devastating corona situation across the country. DNB PDCET 2021 exam was scheduled to be held on May 9, 2021. A series of exams including NEET PG 2021, INI CET 2021 have been postponed recently.
The National Board of Examinations(NBE) has postponed DNB PDCET 2021 exam in the wake of rising cases of COVID-19 across the country. DNB PDCET 2021 was scheduled to be held on May 9, 2021. As per the official notification available on the official website of NBE, the decision to postpone DNB PDCET 2021 exam has been taken considering the safety and well-being of candidates as lockdown/night curfew has been imposed in several parts of the country.
“Pursuant to the recent lockdown/ night curfew/ containment orders imposed in various parts of the country due to ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases and in order to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates in attending the examination and to ensure their safety amidst such pandemic, the National Board of Examinations (NBE), in continuation of its notice dated 23.04.2021, has decided to defer the conduct of DNB-PDCET 2021 till further notice,” the official notification said. The new schedule for the exam will be available on the official website of NBE.
A series of entrance exams have been postponed recently including NEET PG 2021, INI CET 2021, and JEE Main 2021 April session as corona has led to an alarming situation. DNB PDCET which is an abbreviation for the Diplomate of National Board Post Diploma Centralized Entrance Test is a ranking examination. NBE conducts the exam for admission to various post diploma DNB courses.
Candidates have to complete 2 years of practical training under any NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college after clearing DNB PDCET 2021 exam. After completion of the practical training, he/she has to appear for the DNB final examination and clear it too. Only then he/she will be awarded a DNB degree.
On March 24, 2021, NBE had released an official notification and announce DNB PDCET 2021 exam date. Candidates were allowed to fill DNB PDCET 2021 applications form online from March 25 to April 14, 2021.
