NTA has released the provisional answer key and OMR response sheets for the NEET 2025 on June 3, 2025. The challenge submission window is open now, and the last date is June 5, 2025. Know the detailed procedure and fees here on this page.

The NEET 2025 provisional answer key and OMR response sheets of candidates have been released by NTA on June 3, 2025. NTA has opened the objection or challenge submission window, the last date for which is June 5, 2025.

The fee to submit a challenge against each NEET 2025 answer key or OMR sheet is INR 200, and the process is completely online. NTA has stated, “The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys, Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses for NEET (UG) – 2025 on the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/ for candidates to challenge.”

NTA has also sent a scanned image of the NEET 2025 Retest OMR Answer Sheet to the registered e-mail addresses of candidates. NTA added, “Candidates are being given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per answer challenged, within a specified period as indicated above. Candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a nonrefundable processing fee of INR 200 per question challenged.”

How to Submit Challenge Against NEET 2025 Provisional Answer Keys

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to submit challenges against the NEET 2025 answer keys.

  • Visit the official website of NEET 2025 – www.neet.nta.nic.in or directly click Here 
  • Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)’
  • Select the Test Booklet Code.
  • Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit.
  • You will see the following Questions are in sequential order:

NEET (UG) – 2025

Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology 

  • The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by the NTA.
  • If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box
  • You may want to upload supporting documents in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single PDF file).
  • After clicking your desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2025 ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.
  • You will see a screen displaying your challenges.
  • Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’.
  • Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee of INR 200 for each question challenged.
  • Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.

How to Submit Challenges Against NEET 2025 OMR Sheet

The procedure to submit challenges against the NEET 2025 OMR sheet are given below:

  • Visit the official website of NEET 2025 – www.neet.nta.nic.in
  • Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit.
  • Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane.
  • Click on the OMR Challenge Link.
  • You will see the following Questions are in sequential order:

Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology 

  • Select Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the Recorded Response.
  • The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.
  • Once you select any Question for Challenge, you will see three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’.
  • If you wish to challenge this option, you may use the Options given in the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ column.
  • After clicking your desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2025, scroll down, ‘Submit’, and move to the next screen.
  • You will see a screen displaying your challenges.
  • Click on ‘Submit' and Pay Fee Finally’.
  • Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee of INR 200 for each question/grade challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

After the submission of the objections against NEET 2025 answer keys or OMR sheets, the NTA panel of subject experts will review each of the objections. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the NEET Answer Key 2025 will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised NEET 2025 Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared by June 14, 2025. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge.

The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025, in 566 cities across India and abroad. Approximately 21 lakh candidates appeared for the test.

Q:   When did NTA release the official answer key for NEET 2025?

NTA released the final answer key for NEET 2025 on June 14, 2025, before the result. The provisional NEET 2025 answer keys was released on June 3, 2025, within a month of conducting the exam. Candidates were given an opportunity to submit challenges or objections against the provisional answer keys within June 5, 2025. There will not be any opportunity to review or challenge the NEET final answer keys. The NEET 2025 result was computed based on the NEET 2025 final answer keys. 

Q:   Where can I get NEET answer key from?
A:

NEET answer keys were released on the official website of NEET, neet.nta.nic.in. For the provisional answer keys, candidates had to log in to the NEET website with their NEET 2025 application number, password and Security Code. After that, they have to download their response sheets and the provisional answer keys. The final answer keys will be available on the NTA and the NEET website, which candidates can directly download, without having to log in. Candidates and stakeholders can download the NEET 2025 final answer keys by NTA by clicking on the link and download it in PDF format.

The NEET OMR response sheet refers to candidates' answer sheets or OMR sheets where they have marked their responses. On the other hand, the provisional answer keys refer to correct answer options according to NTA experts. The NEET OMR response sheets of candidates are scanned and uploaded on the official website of the exam which candidates can download and check for discrepancies. Candidates are also advised to note down their own responses or answer options marked to calculate their estimated scores.
