NEET 2025 Scores Also Applicable for BDS and BVSc & AH Courses; Clarifies NTA
NEET 2025 scores will also be applicable for BDS and BVSc & AH courses, along with MBBS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. NTA clarified this in a notification dated January 17, 2025, which is in continuation to the notification dated January 16, 2025.
NEET 2025 Scores to be Applicable for BDS and BVSc & AH Courses
NEET 2025 scores will also be applicable for BDS and BVSc & AH courses, along with MBBS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. NTA clarified this in a notification dated January 17, 2025, which is in continuation to the notification dated January 16, 2025. Although the MBBS course name is not mentioned specifically, the term ‘undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions’ is equivalent to MBBS.
“In continuation to the Public Notice dated 16 January 2025 on the mode of conduct of NEET (UG)-2025, it is clarified that in addition to the courses mentioned in the Public Notice dated 16 January 2025, NEET (UG)-2025 scores and merit list will also apply for admissions to BDS and BVSc & AH courses as followed in the past in accordance with the rules governed by respective regulatory bodies,” stated NTA.

NEET UG 2025 Information Bulletin to be Out Soon
NTA has indicated that the NEET 2025 information bulletin will be out in due course of time. “The candidates who desire to appear in NEET (UG) 2025 may refer detailed Information Bulletin for NEET UG 2025 which will be made available in the website (www.neet.nta.nic.in) in due course at the time of launch of application form,” NTA mentioned.
Accordingly, NTA is expected to announce the NEET 2025 exam date by January, and the application process may begin by February or March. The exam is most likely to be held in the first Sunday of May 2025.

NTA announced the NEET 2024 exam date on September 19, 2023. NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5. The result of NEET 2024 was declared on June 4, 2024. After the result declaration, several irregularities and anomalies were found in the result and the scoring system. Hence, NTA is reconducting NEET 2024 on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 candidates who were awarded grace marks. The result will be declared on June 30, 2024. The NEET 2024 counselling process for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats is likely to be conducted from July 6, 2024 onwards.
The NEET 2024 application process was conducted from February 9, 2024, to March 16, 2024. The last date of application was extended from March 9, by a week. The application and correction windows were reopened in April. While the NEET exam dates were scheduled in September and July a couple of years ago owing to the pandemic situation, it took a toll on the medical admission schedule. To bridge this gap, NTA conducted NEET in May last year. The trend is being continued for NEET 2024 as well.
