NEET MDS 2026 Topper

National Board of Examinations has released the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for the Master of Dental Surgery exam. Namira Mohammad Ghalib Siddiqui has become the NEET MDS topper 2026 by securing AIR 1.  Namira is currently in her final dental education at Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College and Hospital in Wanadongri, Nagpur. 

Speaking about becoming NEET MDS AIR 1 Namira shared that her ambition was always to become a highly successful and skilled dental surgeon. She gives credit for her success to consistency, discipline and preparation strategy. Her father runs a business, while her mother is a homemaker. Notably, her younger brother is also currently preparing for his NEET UG exam.

NEET MDS Topper 2026: Namira Shares Study Plan

Namira said that her focus was studying at night as it was easier to concentrate in silence as it avoid noise and distractions. She said she had to make sacrifices while preparing for the examination. Namira slept for just five hours every day.

Q:   What are NEET MDS total marks?
A: 

The NEET MDS exam is of 960 marks. There are two sections in the exam- Part A and B. NEET MDS Part A contains100 questions of 400 marks and Part B comprises 140 questions of 560 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.

Q:   In which languages is NEET MDS exam is conducted?
A: 

NEET MDS is conducted in only one language, which is English. This exam, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is held in a single language and window, in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.  Since BDS course is offered in English, it would not pose challenge to candidates in terms of attempting the NEET MDS exam in English. The exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours, from 2 PM to 5 PM in exam centres located in India. The syllabus and pattern and expected to remain the same as last year. 

Q:   Can I modify every detail through NEET MDS correction window?
A: 

No, candidates are not allowed to edit each and every detail of the NEET MDS application form. As per last year's trend, applicants could edit every detail except name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, and email ID. Candidates will also be given a chance to rectify their images or signatures, or any other files uploaded by them. There is no additional charge levied to make corrections in the NEET MDS application.

Her strategy includes solving questions rather than just reading textbooks. Namira focused on solving NEET MDS previous years question papers. According to her, the time management and solving PYQs were helpful during the examination.
